Distant Journey:

In collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Kuwait, this exhibition will present an estimated 200 objects dating from the second millennium BCE through the Islamic era. Art from the Islamic world, a significant component of the exhibition, was introduced to Chinese artisans via the Silk Roads, during the Ming dynasty (14th-17th century CE) and the Qing dynasty (17th – 20th century CE), the last Chinese Imperial dynasty.
