Children Education

Kids are special people. Recognising that, the DAI offers some very special programmes dedicated to them.  Below is a bit of an overview, but follow dai_education on Instagram for details and registration.

CAW and CAW Jrs

children ages 6 – 10 years old

This season CAW/CAW Jrs will start in October and end in February. Meeting Saturday mornings, 9:30 -11, this programme will be part one of a two-part programme to create an exhibition.  Registration for CAW/CAW Jrs will be announced on Instagram in September.

DAI Children’s Library

children of all ages

The children’s library offers books in Arabic and English for toddlers to teens. In addition to the usual library activities, StoryTime is held every Saturday at 3:30; StoryCraft, which mixes books and art projects, is held periodically, and the Summer Reading Programme runs June through August every year.

Book Buddies, DAI’s Book Club

for kids

Expanding this season, Book Buddies will build on the success of the book club last season.  The details are still being finalised, so watch for details on Instagram (dai_education).

CAW Tots, children

ages 3 – 6 years old

There will be two four week sessions of CAW Tots this season.  One will address the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (or rather their artist namesakes) and the other will be monster-inspired.

DAI Minis, children

ages 18 months – 3 years old

Periodically throughout CS29, special programmes for toddlers (with a parent) will be held.  The sessions will involved a book, a visit to part of the museum and an activity.  The activities will vary, from tracking down a dragon loose in an exhibition to a special ‘obstacle course’.
